 Disney Trip 2026 

Mills Music's trademark bi-annual trip to Disneyland is coming up in the spring!​ For this overnight field trip, students will be leaving Friday, April 17 morning and return Monday, April 20, 2025 around dinnertime (students will miss two days of school). Get ready for performance workshops, theme park days, and lots of fun!

Fill out the Registration Form and pay the Commitment Deposit to secure your spot.

General Policy

  • During the trip, all prevailing health protocols will be followed, and school behavior rules will be enforced.

  • Standard SMUHSD health guidelines will apply to participate (e.g. if ill prior to trip, no fever for 24hrs without any medication, etc.).

  • The entire trip cost is non-refundable (even if unable to travel due to illness or other personal reasons).

Event Itinerary

Registration Form and Deposit Due

  • Fill out the registration form to confirm student participation:

  • Make your $300 deposit payment to commit to the field trip. You may also pay the full $800 amount for the trip early. Payment options:
     

    • Zelle to (805) 340-1067. Verify the recipient name "MILLS MUSICAL ARTS GROUP, MILLBRAE, CA" and select the "Paying a friend, partner, or family member" option. Write student full name in the "What's this for?" field.

    • Make checks payable to Mills Musical Arts Group. Write the student's full name on memo field. Place in sealed envelope with this payment slip.​ Printed payment slips and recycled envelopes are available at the back of the band room.

    • Venmo to @non-donationMMAG. Write the student's full name in the "What's this for?" field. Don't toggle "Turn on for purchases". If asked to confirm last 4 digits of a phone number, click "Pay Without Confirming".
       

  • Students deliver checks into the black box (the "271 Box") at the back of the band room.

Registration

​Bussin'!​

​6:30 am - Get to Mills! Meet outside Band Room.

               Bring suitcase, instrument, and personal bag (all labeled). DON'T BE LATE!

7:30 am - Buses roll out.

~12:30 pm - Meal/rest stop. Students eat packed lunch or buy fast food (on their own).

~4:00 pm - Arrive at Embassy Suites Anaheim-North. Gather in Banquet Hall for activities.

5:30 pm - Dinner is served.

7:00 pm - Senior Night speeches.

9:30 pm - Back to hotel rooms.

10:00 pm - Lights out!

​Park Day & Performance Workshops​

​7:00 am - Wake up! Put on red Mills t-shirt. Breakfast in hotel lobby. DON'T LEAVE ROOM BEFORE 7!

7:45 am - Board buses. Be ready in Hotel Lobby with instruments – DON’T BE LATE!

8:30 am - Arrive at Disneyland. Enter Disney California Adventure. Check in with chaperones.

               Full group heads to Monsters Inc.

9:00 am - Choir students are let loose in Disney California Adventure!

9:15 am - Band Performance Workshop begins. NO PUBLIC ENTRY.

9:45 am - Orchestra Performance Workshop begins. NO PUBLIC ENTRY.

11:00 am - Allowed into Disneyland Park. Inform chaperones when park hopping.

4:30 pm - Choir students meet at Monsters Inc. Performance Workshop begins. NO PUBLIC ENTRY.

10:30 pm - Meet at Disneyland park entry area (inside ticket gates). Return to hotel.

11:30 pm - Lights out!

​Park Day​

​7:00 am - Wake up! Breakfast in hotel lobby. DON'T LEAVE ROOM BEFORE 7!

7:45 am - Board buses. Be ready in Hotel Lobby – DON’T BE LATE!

8:30 am - Arrive at Disneyland. Enter Disneyland. Check in with chaperones before being let loose.

11:00 am - Allowed into Disney California Adventure. Inform chaperones when park hopping.

10:00 pm - Students must be in Disneyland Park (not Disney California Adventure).

11:00 pm - Meet at Disneyland park entry area (inside ticket gates). Return to hotel.

12:30 am - Lights out!

​7:00 am - Wake up! Breakfast in hotel lobby. DON'T LEAVE ROOM BEFORE 7!

8:30 am - Bring all luggage to hotel main lobby. Group photo!

~12:30 pm - Meal/rest stop. Students eat packed lunch or buy fast food (on their own).

~6:30 pm - Arrive at Mills student parking lot.

Return to school!

Mandatory: Music students must attend classes.

3 ½ days worth of clothes

  • Friday’s outfit (what you’re wearing when you board the bus)

  • Clean red Mills Music t-shirt

  • 3 tops (shirts)

  • 1 sweatshirt, hoodie, or light jacket

  • 2+ pairs of pants

  • 4 sets of undergarments

  • 4 pairs of socks

  • 1 pair of comfortable walking shoes

  • 1 sleeping attire (pajamas, sweats, etc.)

  • (optional) Slippers to use in hotel room

Medications:

Student medication must be:

  • Stored in Zip-Lock bag

  • Labeled with student name

  • Handed to Mills staff upon arrival

Students hold on to EpiPens and inhalers

  • Let Mr. G know.

Students must not carry medication
(except EpiPens and inhalers).
Even Tylenol / Advil / painkillers.

Optional Personal Items:

Stuff you can bring, but not required

  • Sleeping bag and/or blanket

    • If you want a separator in shared bed.

    • Label w/ name on masking tape (large print w/ permanent marker).

  • Sunglasses

  • Hat

    • Face must be clearly visible when wearing

  • Travel-size hand sanitizer

  • Travel-size tissue packs

  • Face masks

  • Foldable recyclable shopping bag

    • Very useful and doesn’t take room

  • ​Homework / make-up work

    • Laptop not recommended!

  • AirTag or tracking device

    • Put in your music case, backpack, etc.

  • Headset / headphones / earbuds

    • AirPods or other expensive tech not recommended!

    • If you leave them somewhere, no time to go back.
